back--up--left would be my suggestion. The real reason the tank is hard to deal with is because of the round rubber dounuts on the side of the main frame backstrap. These dounuts dry out and actually 'glue' themselves to the tank making removal one of great difficulty. A liberal dose of silicone spray on these rubber pads does wonders for removal next time. Try it!
